--Add"#section-{insert number here}" to the URL for the course homepage. For example:

section-0 is the first/intro section at the top of the page, and then the number continue sequentially (so section-1 is the first topic or week, and so on).

  1. Hi, I tried this but it doesn't work. Even with the #section-{number} at the end of the link, it remains on the same page.
Am I missing something in the settings, perhaps?
Also, I use Google Chrome - does that have something to do with it?

  2. Thank you for this comment. I just tried it with a Chrome on a mac and it worked for me. took me to section 5 of the course page. It doesn't show ONLY section 5, it just automatically scrolls down so that section on top. If this continues to not for you please email your RIS liaison, or all of RIS at ris-d@mtholyoke and we'd be happy to investigate your specific course!
